It doesn’t steer. It’s attached to this:
A classic tram from the 1950s. Yes, it goes on rails so the driver doesn’t steer. Instead he “turns right” for power and therefore “turns left” for less power.
We didn't know that.

My favorite part is the unguarded metal fan just waiting to slice up your fingers of you reach for that lever without paying attention.
